Liris is a light collection consisting of a pendant, table, wall, and floor lamp. The lamps features an illuminated, folded shade also serving as a reflector, to ensure a soft, warm, ambient light.
The inspiration for the collection is rooted in a fascination of a simple paper party fan. This inexpensive party accessory piqued our interest in materiality, form, and interaction.
The concept aimed to blend the playful, crafted appearance of the folded fan with a sleek industrial base. By incorporating a small elevated LED light source, we were able to utilize the folded fan as both a shade and a reflector.
At the time the lamps were designed we were both based in Copenhagen, where the short days of winter underscored the importance of functional lighting and hereby creating a warm and inviting home environment.

The fusion of Liris’ design with Gejst's overarching principles resulted in a collection that seamlessly integrates timeless craftsmanship with modern sensibilities, offering products that resonate with both tradition and innovation.
