about

Kasper Friis Egelund is a Copenhagen based designer, working within lighting, object and furniture design.

Kasper is born and raised on Funen in Denmark. He later graduated with a bachelor degree in Design and Business at VIA Design and a master in Furniture and Object Design at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK).

His work is focussed around the interaction between subject and object, and how this can create strong emotions and a connection which makes an object last. His work draws inspiration from architecture and art, guided by a graphic simplicity, from which he strives to create designs with a distinctive expression.
